Zindi Wins Prestigious International Award for Best Artificial Intelligence Technology Communication in Service of the Community at the International Government Communication Forum in Sharjah

Sharjah, UAE – 11 September 2025 – Zindi, Africa’s leading AI community platform, has been awarded the Best Artificial Intelligence Technology Communication in Service of the Community award at the Sharjah International Government Communication Forum (IGCF). The honour was presented by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, during the annual forum held at Expo Sharjah from 10–11 September.

As part of the IGCF, The Sharjah Government Communication Award (SGCA) recognises outstanding global initiatives, innovations, and practices in the field of communication. The award highlights individuals and organisations worldwide that use communication strategically to empower communities, inspire trust, and promote sustainable development.

Zindi won in its category for pioneering the use of artificial intelligence and data-driven platforms to solve pressing social challenges. The company has built a vibrant community of more than 90,000 AI builders across Africa and beyond, mobilising them to tackle real-world problems in agriculture, health, climate, and financial inclusion. Through its innovative model, Zindi connects governments, NGOs, and private-sector organisations with data science talent to generate impactful solutions while upskilling the next generation of AI practitioners, and has given away more than $1 million in prize money.
